Tate Liverpool is one of the most popular galleries outside of London Tate Liverpool, it is the home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the north. Located on the Albert Dock it is within easy walking distance from the City Centre.
The gallery holds different special exhibitions throughout the year, which collates artworks from all over the world. Its most recent features include works by artists such as Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, René Magritte and Claude Monet.
Large displays of work from the National Collection can be seen free of charge. This includes the work of artists such as Francis Bacon, Marcel Duchamp, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Andy Warhol. There’s always something new to discover.

Tate Liverpool opens at 10.30 on the first Wednesday of every month owing to staff training
Open as normal on most bank holidays, but closes on 24th, 25th, 26th December and Good Friday.

Getting there
By Car
Follow brown signs to the Albert Dock. There is a multi-storey car park at Kings Dock (5 minute walk).
Q-Park Strand Street with 2000 underground spaces can be accessed from the centre of Strand Street which runs past the Albert Dock.
By Bus
Take the C4 bus to the Albert Dock.
