After a sharp drop in fatality yesterday there has been a steep rise today. At weekends, death cases are typically lower due to lag in reporting, but the figures jumped from two yesterday.
9 deaths were recorded at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Royal Liverpool, Aintree and Broadgreen Hospitals, taking the toll from 399 to 408.
The trust running Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals recorded a single further death, taking its total to 134 while two patients also died at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust, which runs St Helens and Whiston hospitals, taking its total to 183.
Wirral Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, that runs Arrowe Park Hospital, has recorded no further deaths with its overall toll remaining 205.
There were no further deaths at the trust which runs Warrington and Halton Hospitals, with the total deaths remaining at 115
