Southport Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden which is located in the suburban village of Churchtown, Southport, in Merseyside, England. Botanic Gardens has been featured in the BBC TV program Gardener’s World.It is commonly called “The Jewel in the Crown” as it is nationally known for its floral displays.

Botanical Gardens originally opened in the year 1874, these Victorian gardens are bursting with floral splendour and colourful displays. Winding through the park is the garden’s lake and a lot of pathways. Don’t miss the Victorian Fernery, open year round, it contains a wonderful display of ferns of all shapes and sizes. There is an aviary, gift shop and café too, so there are many things to see and explore.

The Café

Situated in the beautiful Botanic Gardens in Churchtown, the Botanic Gardens Cafe is a favourite with their well established regular customers as well as visitors.The cafe specialises in homemade food and snacks and also selling a different unusual gifts and toys. They as well sell wholesale goods to schools for events like summer fetes and Christmas fairs.
