Hickory’s Smokehouse, West Kirkby

Hickory’s Smokehouse, formerly known as The Moby Dick until 2013, in West Kirby is an authentic American BBQ restaurant in the Wirral.

The traditional cooking style of the US is recreated in the UK and has been welcomed by many fans already. Specially imported smoker ovens are used to slow cook the meats until they are packed full of flavour and so tender that it falls off the bone. The menu is full of American treats including authentic American popcorn, the hottest buffalo wings you’ve experienced and authentic American desserts. Whilst from the bar you can enjoy Brooklyn lager that is served in a frozen glass or the house beer, Hickory’s Old, which is brewed by Weetwood.

You will be greeted with a warm welcome by attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The restaurant has a thoroughly modern feel with polished wood and exposed brickwork throughout. Sporting events are shown on the many TV’s and there is also an outside decking area complete with stylish yet comfortable furniture.

Hickory’s is a family friendly restaurant where the children are catered for too as they have their own menu, secret garden and cinema!
