An ambitious mall in a repurposed heritage building. Metquarter is an upscale shopping mall in the heart of Liverpool city centre. The building was originally used as the city’s post office, constructed in the style of a French chateau until WWII bombs caused irreparable damage to its upper floors.

All businesses located in Metquarter are members of City Central, a Business Improvement District (BID) representing approximately 630 businesses in Liverpool city centre.

Situated in the heart of Liverpool, Metquarter is a one-stop destination for shopping, food and entertainment and home to iconic local brands including Kids Cavern, Cricket Fashion and Francesca Couture alongside lots of other independent retailers and crafters. It is the home of LMA, Liverpool’s media, music and performing arts institution, educating some of the city’s most creative talent.

A £100 million, 21st-century refurbishment breathed new life into the old site. Today, its high-end stores lend it the nickname “Liverpool’s Bond Street” as it hosts similar brands as that exclusive London street. Among its notable stores are Hugo Boss and Kurt Geiger.

Metquarter is also a social hub with entertainment facilities including Everyman Cinema and GPO food hall, the newest operator bringing some of Liverpool’s best food vendors together under one roof.

Open: Monday–Wednesday and Friday–Saturday from 9.30 am to 6 pm, Thursday from 9.30 am to 7 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
