Scouse is a beef or lamb stew that associated traditionally with the people of Liverpool, who have come to be known as “Scousers” over the years.
The procedure for Scouse is pretty broad: There is no definitive procedure, because it was traditionally made from leftovers and whatever was in season at the time.
Warm and filling, Scouse meal was originally brought to Liverpool and commonly eaten by Northern European sailors. It’s original name was formerly known as lamb or beef stew which comes from “lobscouse” or “labskause,” which over the years has been shortened and Anglicised to just “Scouse.”
